Women’s voices are important in today’s world. Voices of older women are especially significant for their perspective on decades lived, and lessons learned. Writing a memoir is one vehicle for telling stories documenting the history and societal change we have been a part of creating! Join OWL for a presentation on this unique form of getting voices of older women out into the world.
Program includes:
- E. Eastman, writer, teacher, and memoir coach, who will talk about what a memoir is, its many forms, how to get started, and how to keep your project focused and engaging.
- OWL member Melanie Grossman has just published her memoir, Crossing Bayou Teche. She will share her own process in creating a memoir and new understandings gained, followed by selected readings.
- Q&A period to follow.
